Alexander Barancheyev (or Sasha) is a 20 year old film director, cinematographer, photographer and writer based in Los Angeles, USA and Riga, Latvia.

By merging narrative and experimental film techniques, poetic imagery and sound, he explores the themes of human condition, the absurd in the everyday, and family.

Most of Alexander’s work centres around the concept of transformation, because ultimately, everything in the world exists in constant motion.

Alexander is an upcoming junior at the California Institute of the Arts in the Film/Video program.
