My grandmother, Liudmila, contemplates where omens come from and how they relate to her life. There is something mystical, something quite other-worldly about them. They make people look at the world with more attention and admiration.

The visuals and sounds of the film are the idiosyncratic representation of this mysterious phenomena.

The film is partly comprised of Super 8 that I shot, representing the time period of my grandmother. The other shots, which are digital, tie the memories into the present day.
